In 2019 I had to conduct a research project about a subject matter of my choice. The representation of mental illness is very important to me as I feel as though I, and many others I know personally, have been negatively impacted by poorly research and presented cases of different mental health issues in the media.

Conducting this project was one of the most strenuous tasks in college, there was so much work behind it and so seemingly little reward, however I was very proud of my final results and thought it showcases my versatility and love for writing when it concerns my different passions.
I remember thinking I would easily finish this project as I knew the message I wanted to send before I even started writing it, yet I still found myself consistently learning as it went along and I think that was the best part about it.
My dad always told me to never be the smartest person in the room and I think I managed to outsmart myself on this one by picking a topic I didn't even realise I'd be so challenged on.
